Vivi and Hung first crossed paths in their early years at San Jose State University. Like many college connections, it started simply - they added each other on social media, but life moved quickly and their paths didn't quite align just yet.

Fast forward to summer 2018, life intervened.

While Vivi was busy with her summer internship, she attended a corporate held event where, by pure coincidence, Hung was working the contracted part-time photobooth job there. So of all places, they met at work! You really do meet the best people at work if you're lucky. (PS: You know who you are!) Anyway, that random college connection didn't feel so random anymore. Who knew a part-time job and an internship would end up being the beginning of their story?

From that moment on, they reconnected and quickly became close. After a semester filled with conversations, laughter, and getting to know each other in a whole new way, they made it official in January 2019!

Over the next six years, Vivi and Hung navigated life side by side - building their careers, figuring out adulthood, discovering new hobbies, and experiencing everything in between.

Along the way, they shared countless new experiences, from snowboarding and pickleball to roasting meats, bread baking, running, and weightlifting. Hung also introduced Vivi to fried chicken dates, which quickly became one of their favorite traditions. Whether it was Korean Fried Chicken from Vons Chicken or popcorn chicken from iTea or Shihlin, it became one of their favorite meals to share. Meanwhile, Vivi spent years trying to get Hung into boba - but to this day, he still prefers not to drink it. You win some, you lose some.

They officially moved into a 1 bedroom apartment together in Fremont in 2021. In 2025, they upgraded to a larger place in Campbell - with a garage! Then, on November 20, 2025, Hung took their biggest step yet by proposing in front of Mount Fuji. Vivi said yes!
